Got a brand new circle of track on a custom wood base for the tree this year, (used the old circle rail for a portable pizza layout) , will be breaking out the Xmas train again this year, may even have a new car or two for it
Have fun with your trains
prolly gonna be Thommy-Mack with a few small cars....minimal stuff to destroy for the kids, esp. the new 10 mo old gurl!
Merry Early Christmas!

Wow, those cars are really all decked-out, nice. Is that the toy LGB saddle tank engine pulling the cars in the photo? I remember that I wanted one of those and give it a sound tender, and smoke unit.
Sort of...it started out as a Porter, but I used the LGB boiler and tank for two different bashes, then in a fit of weekend boredom induced madness I then used the front part of a scrapped Big Hauler boiler to bash onto the LGB cab & drive, the hideously deformed monster that resulted...Muuhhhahahahaa!
One year I just added some Xmas trim (garland, bows) to it and it looked good so it stuck. The rest of the train was really easy to do, its just stock LGB flatcars with a bunch of cheap christmas stuff from Micheals craft stores siliconed or CA'd down.
The head is gray, hands don't work , back is weak, legs give out, eyes are gone, money go's and my wife still love's Me.
Here is our NOS LGB Euro set under the tree for the first year. Previously I had my dad's vintage Lionel set from 1949 under there, but its now retired to a display case of honor. Picked up the set at Watts in Zionsville IN while home for Thanksgiving. Cheers Mike
LHS mechanic and geniune train and antique garden tractor nut case!
Presents, for me; of course!
Well, I might allow a tiny bit of room for the grandkids to get stuff!
