I agree with Marty about not glueing the rails.
For installing the side rails, it seems to help to slightly crimp the points of the bend that inserts into the side frame with a set of needle nose pliers. They go in much easier and so far, have not had a problem of getting loose.

If you give us your first name I can get you the freshest roadkill on 66 you'll ever find.
I can grill it so many ways you'll want to use your doggy bag to take it home with you.
But really, take your time, you waited this long you can get those in. I never glue mine because there is less damage in train wrecks .
My sons just got home from grandpas with a very nice deer. Kind of a tradition to hang onto while you can.
Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?

Hi
Your in Iow-a,, hey come on over this weekend and I'll show you.
Same as you did in HO
The front rails are harder so you may need to drill out the holes the next size larger or take an exacto knife and open them up a little. they are just like Atherans.
but really, SE corner of NE,, Nebraska City NE I 29 to hwy 2, then west cross bridge to 66 then south.
I have an aristocraft sd45 and I was trying to figure out how to get the handrails on it. I have been in HO scale for a long time now, but I am new to the G scale market. If anyone can tell me how it is done or if you can get me a link to help, let me know. Thanks.
