Oh, well that's good to know, tucked away here where the MO and Miss meet. I'm glad the other guy asked first, 'cause I was gonna. Can we say 'regional topic', anyone? Evil [}:)]

I don't see anything to get mad about here. Some guys on these forums like to here about these OSH sets so thats why I posted them with the information. It's not my fault no other state has an OSH store. We we don't have a Sam's Club here, but you don't see me getting all upset that I can't buy their exclusive sets.

I'm not mad about anything. I thought it strange that two people posted a third to 'read the signs', presumably on the train, to discover where it came from. Then I noticed both were from the same region. We have an 'Orchard Supply' by that name here in Missouri, but it is a farm supply house, and a strictly local business so far as I know. Of the many things it sells, trains are not one. So, the 'Orchard Supply' name made me curious. I even included an emoticon; apparently that symbol means different things to different people. Tom the Brat used it on me in several posts awhile back. I thought he was just yanking my chain. In a situation like this, taking offense isn't really a great first option. An inquiry along the lines of 'huh? what're you saying?' can be made just as easily w/o immediate recourse to negative assumptions.

If I injured your feelings, I apologize.

No not all. It just seemed the reply was a little sarcastic is all. No harm done. Let's move on shall we?

Matt, if you know the manager, might be a good idea to ask to have one set aside for you when they go on sale, as its my experience theres always a run on the sets come opening time on the 26th.

That might be a good idea Vic. I will try to make it in soon within the next couple weeks.

Sam's club sets can be ordered online, although this years set with christmas light physically gouged into the side of the engine and cars is a definate Woof! of a dog as far as I'm concerned! I'd skip it this years Sams set.  OSH definetly sells them on-sale post X-mas as they do not want to store something so seasonal they'd have to hold onto for a whole year. Yeah, they'll be on sale come the 26th, maybe earlier.

Matt, if you know the manager, might be a good idea to ask to have one set aside for you when they go on sale, as its my experience theres always a run on the sets come opening time on the 26th.

The meaning of OSH is in the photos.  It is Orchard Supply Hardware.  Look at the photos again and you will see it.Sign - Dots [#dots]

Awh....don't have one here! But $230.00 is way to high for me Shock [:O]. Paid $150.00 for Sam's Club train last year with trolly, if I remember right.

But 50% should place it about $115.00. Would love one but have to many now Big Smile [:D]

Yeah its there tucked behind the loco, saw this set at my local OSH also, I got way too much stuff to even think about this set, but it is a nice Big Hauler set. Its 1/22.5, always was, always will be.

   Have fun with your trains

2007 OSH Train Set - Photos
Posted by Train 284 on Thursday, November 8, 2007 8:12 PM
Hi all,

I was informed by a friend that the new OSH train sets for 2007 were now on the shelves so tonight I decided to go check them out and snap a couple photos for you guys. Got there and wondered through the Christmas section until I got to the last Christmas aisle....found it! I must say I am quite impressed and this is a very nice set. It is a Bachmann Ten Wheeler (NOT the Anniversary) a combine, and observation, all with the OSH logo and lettering. Coaches have battery powered lighting with the standard 9V. Comes with an oval of Bachmann track and a transformer; as usual with all Bachmann sets.

I plan on buying one of these sets when they go to 50% off after Christmas. I may be a narrow gauge modeler....but you have to have some fun sometimes right?

Anyway here are some photos.....if you have questions about the set feel free to ask and I will see what I can do.

The loco...sorry about the flash....overhead store lights don't make the best background lighting.

The combine

The observation

All the sets on the top shelf.....at $230 I don't think they are going too far....not until after Christmas at least when they go to 50% off
