I recieved early the authors Dec issue.
I want to send out congrats to all the winners.
BUT
Most of all I'd like everyone to think about entering next years.
They say the count was down but the hobby is growing, so where are those new folks with photos.
Please, what I did was simply study the new photos, read a few past articals on Kevins Strongs how to take better photos then get out and practice. And Practice, different times of the day, different places. You can't win by just setting up one shot and doing it. (well maybe you can) , but railfanning on your own RR is the best way.
Even with add shots or calendar photos, practice. Or try sending in your latest project to letter to the editor. That is where my first few photos was, then I could see first hand how they look in print.
Even my sig photo I had to take over a dozen shots as the light moved across . I've taken hundreds of photos on the MLS Cayon Bridge. But practice...
Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?
Long live Outdoor Model Railroading.
