Thanks.  I'm surprised at how easy it was to build the cab. 

The pilot itself is just the original cut in half.

Kevin suggested that the original spoked wheels looked too small, so I replaced them with some Sierra Valley 24" wheels that I had.   I really like the new look.

That's very creative, rilly like the cab, the pilot axle isn't origional is it?

I was thinking about that when I made it...but I decided not to change my dimensions.  I'm still looking for something that would fit!   Maybe I'll just be crew.

When I first started, I bought a Bachmann Anniversary Edition 10 wheeler (often referred to as the "Annie"). It's a nice locomotive, but I decided to modify the Annie and upsize it to 1:20, while losing a couple of pilot wheels in the process.

I kept the boiler and running gear, but built a new cab and used a 2-8-0 tender to complete the change.
