Bachmann Porter 2-4-0 Saddle Tank
Posted by John Richards on Thursday, October 4, 2007 6:21 AM

Hi Folks, I have a Bachmann Porter 2-4-0 Saddle Tank of which I`m trying to fit my R/C Gear

into the Saddle Tank, Once opened I was confronted with a Batch of Switches with which

I had no problem until I noticed one Switch said "Rear Gears", My question is What the hell

would a Bachmann be doing with an "Electric Gearbox"??. Has anyone of you Guys found

this little Gem before, and what in your opinion is going to happen when I cut the Switches

out and couple all wires in Situ to run with my R/C set?.

I just thought I`d ask before I acted!.

Regards,

John.

I am going to assume you mean Bachmann's 0-4-0ST Porter.  For all your R/C coversions TOC is the one to talk to.  Hopefully he is on soon.  Wish I could help Confused [%-)].

I have the 0-4-0 "G" or almost "Fn3" Porter Saddle in pieces on the bench....never saw such a switch?

I am adding Batt/RCS/Sierra to the Porter...
