I'm just about to order my first live steam locomotive from the German company 'Regner'.  The loco is a very loose interpretation of an Aveling & Porter contraption, with flywheel and a single cylinder sitting on the boiler.

Come Christmas Santa will, with a bit of luck, bring this beauty to my railway.

Please, take the childish behavior elsewhere. If you have a beef with someone, do it via e-mail and not in a public forum. I think I speak for the majority in saying that we would prefer to read replies in reference to the topic of the post.

Thanks !

Hay, you made it, not me. So where did this sudden consern for my grammer come from? And yes I can't spell, plus my handwriting makes docter's notes seem legible.

Sorry about invading your post guys. Whistling [:-^]

American Baptist Publication Society, Messenger of Peace

Messenger of Peace Because Baptist women across the country raised the funds for its construction, Messenger of Peace would be called the Ladies' Car. Viewed by thousands at the 1904 World's Fair, it traveled across the United States and Canada under the auspices of the Railroad YMCA, and delivered the gospel from the Ozark Hills to the Olympic Mountains. Summer's heat, which sent temperatures soaring inside the chapel car, would cause the missionaries to put up the awnings.

I do not own any CAD software as I do not have a need for it, nor, do I have any CNC machines on which to use it. I wish I did though ! For basic plans and drawings, I just use Windows Paint or Paint Shop Pro.

John,

One way of making the chassis would be to make a drawing using CAD software, save it to disk and take it to a machine shop that does laser cutting or CNC milling. They could make it from a piece of plate steel or aluminum. This method would make a one-piece chassis that is stronger than one made of individual pieces.

Do you have a basic drawing (like the type I sent you for my houses) of the chassis that you need ? If so, send it to me and I'll see what I can do on my end. The measurements can be metric or standard as I can work with both with no problems.

To give it a more Aussie look, just put a bunch of American tourists in safari jumpsuits in it ! (just kidding). How about putting an aussie product advert on the side; VB, Toohey's, Vegemite or something of the like.

Hi Dale

http://www.ipengineering.co.uk/page93.html

Is next ,I have it, I just have to figure out

1 how to make a replacement chassis out of metal

2 how to put it together in the first place so it works

3 how to give it a more Aussie feel to the model.

wish me luckBig Smile [:D]

I'm saving up for a live steam, 1:1, K37.  SWMBO has said "if you can find a place big enough to run it, then we'll talk about it.  In the meantime you can drool over a 1:20 version." ........

Couldn't you have picked a nicer photo of Weyerhaeuser #1.  I mean it does have a good coat of yellow on it that is now starting to come off.  Like this one (stop taking the first photo from google):

This photo is from: <yardlimit.railfan.net> and photo credit is to the: Northwest Railroad Museum.

And learn to spell WeyerhaeuserSign - Dots [#dots].  That is what high school is for.  Also, say who the photos are from.  Otherwise it is stealing and plagiarism, which we learned in high school unless you skipped that day too Sign - Dots [#dots].

I found that countering these types of purchases with jewelry or a weekend away helps.  If you do it preemptively it's even more effective.

Next? I've still got 3 on going builds and numbers 4, 5, and 6 waiting in the wings. I do need to get some of the mass produced 1:20 locos at some point.

I just bought a loco at our open house, it was an Aristo Dash-9 BNSF Hertiage II paint. Very nice.

plan to use it as a lead engine in front of 3 BN green/black SD45s for general freight service.

Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?

My next locomotive will probably have to be a Alco C-420 low-hood.  Either that or an Alco C-415.

I do not have any pics of the LCE, but it is the standard LGB LCE-2 set in DB livery still in the box. It has only been run a few times. I have that and an LCE-3. The LCE-3 I intend to keep.

This is the one that I intend to build next. I plan it to be a Gauge 3 model -but the pantographs will not be strictly ornamental -it will be radio controlled...
