LGB Steam Sounds Boxcar, #4135
Posted by dougdagrump on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 8:52 PM

Picked this up on E-Bay and really like the sound and the volume. However there were no instructions, didn't really expect any since it is used, but does anyone have a set that they could scan and e-mail ? To my tin ear this is much much better, sound wise, than the add-on tenders that LGB is currently marketing. Hoping that a set of instructions will answer current and future questions that may arise. Next step would be to e-mail LGBoA since I was unable to find anything on their site.

Thanks in advance, Doug

Hi Doug,

If you go to the LGBoA website and click on the Products icon you can do a search for the product. You need to make sure that you click on the "include museum items" box before searching. If you search for 4135 you will get a result for 41352 which is the old Euro style steam sound boxcar. The instructions are there in pdf form.

Thanks Jack.

We had talked some time back regarding LGB equipment for the museum, would you believe the board has still not addressed that question. Banged Head [banghead]

I have several LGB sound cars and find the sound is greatly improved by placing a small cup over the speaker inside the car.

I use a plastic yogurt cup cut down to 3/4 inch height.

Improves the bass sound and makes it louder also.
