Holloween Santa Fe set?  Like a ghost train?  That would be cool!

Yeah Coogler, I check the net for one but nada came up for me. Only thing was in O scale.

She has a Christmas Lionel set and loves that one. She is just expanding her sets and I have found nothing for Holloween Angry [:(!]

Might have to hire Vic to do a set for her Big Smile [:D]

Do you have a picture or link?  i am curious!

One thought is to dress up a existing train with G scale ghosts and goblins.  Wasn't there a campfire common ghost story about a ghost train that had wrecked years ago and it runs along with a headless conductor looking for souls?

Huh? I dont even have time for my own long planned "Dias de los Muertos" train ...got some calaveras but I'm way short a full train load

For SweetSantaFe

Hartland Locomotive Works has 2 halloween cars on their website this year, a gondola and a caboose

Look around and LGBs "Its the Great Pumpkin" halloween Gondola is still around, call Hans at Gold Coast Station in Ventura, he had one their last visit.

To see the HLW cars you'll need to register for their on-line club, do it , its worth it.

   Have fun with your trains

Even though Lionel puts out some halloween stuff in "O" some of us at the museum prefer to makeup our own with stuff from Michaels, Big Lots and the dollar stores. It's sometimes kinda hard to justify an expenditure, from a fixed income, for items that will only be out for a few days then packed away til next year. If my small G layout was in the front yard I would probably follow the same premise. Clown [:o)]

Sort of Santa Fe (BNSF), you can't go wrong with an Aristo-Craft "Pumpkin" for Halloween Clown [:o)]

Sorry Clown [:o)]

Seriously though, like others have stated, the best way to make a Halloween train, or any other holiday train, is to go to a craft store and see what might work.  Fun time to use the imagination and let the ideas run wild.  Also a great project for kids to get involved with trains (decorate a Halloween flatcar, gondola, etc..)

Thank you all so much.  Especially you Toad Frog.  You're the best.
