Welcome Back or is it HOME!

Glad to hear that you made it back safe and sound and had a GREAT time with family. It was also nice to hear that you got to see real trains, so when will you and hubby start building your Garden Railroad.

Hi all,

I've returned from the state of Minnesota! We had a nice trip. Spent some time with hubby's family and visited a friend I met online a few years ago. Jim surprised me with a night in a B&B to celebrate our anniversary.

We stayed in Hastings MN and drove up to the old train depot. The depot was used up until the late 1980s. We drove around back and what do you know? A Soo line bandit repaint of a Milwaukee Road engine was parked there. Hubby took some photos with his camera. I hadn't seen one before so it was a treat.

We took Highway 61 (The Great White Highway) back home, following the route of the Hiawatha. If you ever get a chance to drive this way, do so! Very scenic and it's interesting to watch the tracks' path along the way.

See? I was on vacation but still thought about you all!
