Oh , I forget one thing. Why no response from Accucraft?  Sept. 4 is holiday in USA? I am not sure  but it might be  yes , I can not recall the  reason. That means from Sept 1st to 4th in US is holiday season?  Happy Holidays!  Zzz [zzz]

Thank you so much, cokesoven and kstrong.  Cokes' recommendation is instruction manual ( for operation , not assembly manual) I have seen it already. First 4 sheets from Santacruz site recomended by kstrong, I see it first time. ( By the way , this Santacruz is the place near to San Jose Ca. I was living there(SJ)  till 3 years ago and visited the narrow gauge at this Santacruz.) Although I studied similar materials by Hottmann, this will be a great help for me. I am in Japan  now, but tomorrow I will visit NY and Chicago, next day. If I have a spare time there, I will drop in several famous model train shops, there. And when I come back to Japan, I will restart my Ruby job. Thank you, again.  Smile [:)]

Here's a link to some additional resources on timing the valves on the Ruby, which will go FAR beyond what the Accucraft manual will tell you. I can personally vouch for the techniques described, as I've done three Rubys using them. All run very smoothly in both directions.

Assembly Manual of Ruby
Posted by NAK on Monday, September 3, 2007 9:15 AM

I assembled Accucraft Ruby several years ago. Now I air operated , it went but not so smoothly. I understand something wrong with position or setting valve rods and main rods. But I missed assembly manual. Is there anyone who has it? I believe when I assembled I got the manual through web site. This time I carefully loked for it on Accucraft site, but I could'nt. I also asked Accucraft how I can get it, but no response. Anyone can help me?
