If it's really old standard gauge it's probably Lionel, and you'll get a much faster response by posting your message on the Classic Toy Trains forum instead of here in the Garden Railways forum.
Hello my father left a loco to me as well as other pieces. I am looking for any info on this and as to may be able to restore it and if I should have some sort of insurance on it. Thanks jonathan email me and I can send some pictures. it is very old looks like its made of brass.
