post open house

Well we had our first open house July 29th and it was a total success ! Around 120 people came during the day and all seemed to enjoy hanging out . Met a lot of great people and made a lot of new friends . The weather was perfect and the trains ran all day without any derailments . Even my MTH challenger ran without any electrical or computer problems ! hope to have some pictures to post soon as soon as my camera and computer start talking to each other again . Can't wait till next year to do it again ! Later

Dave,

Mike is in the Chicago area but feel free to bring your trains over the river and play.

All the advice I got here was much appreciated . You guys are great ! Had a blast and am going to do it every year . My wife and I were discussing a expansion plan for the C.J.and M. for next spring . I would like to move our brick retaining wall out about 3 feet and double track the rest of the railroad . By moving the wall out I will be able to install more foreground scenery. This will enable me to get better photo's . We'll see how the budget is next spring but I have all winter to plan it .
