Critter controls?

I didn't have an idea when I did the front of the rail bus so I just made something up. Cross between a star trek control panel and a dashboard

Basicly a throttle for the left hand and an air brake stand for the right hand, and some knobs and gauges to look at. Rest of the innards can be a bit more tricky, I gutted an old floor toy for odd looking pieces for my last boxcab.

I have had a recent burst of working on my boxcab dismal project (here's a recent pic - )

 

 

and I would like to work up a basic control console in the cab. I would like some ideas and pics of what would work for this critter.
