Before you purchase anything, you need to do some reading to learn what DCC is and what it can do.  A good place to start is to read the information available on the Tony's Train Exchange web site.  This information can be read on-line or you can download it and print it out.

Perhaps buying a book on DCC would have been more appropriate first.
