Mike, probably because if the loco is gauged to run on 32mm track it is almost exactly the correct gauge for 1:29 scale.
It can only add legitimacy to 1:29 scale in general.

Best wishes,

Tony Walsham.

So 1/29 standard guage trains (Not Scale) on 45mm track with a narrow guage (In Scale) connection on 32mm track? Nice Idea but I seriously doubt if there would be many takers....Currently 32mm in the garden is almost unknown over here. I Know its popular in England but unless a Brit manufacturer does it, I doubt if it would ever see production is US. Here most want the bigger scale 1/20.3 items. I still think 1/22.5 would be a better choice.

I never said there would be takers although you never know.
LS fans buy some of the strangest things.
Like Eggliners.

All I said was using 32mm gauge track for 1:29 scale 3' narrow gauge is accurate and will add legitimacy to the scale in general.

V. Smith PLEASE tell me where you have found an on30 scale K-36. I am starting a on30 layout.
1. It is cheaper than G scale
2. There are many D&RGW products avalible for this scale
3. The "Narrow Gauge" part of it stands out more compared to on3

I WOULD like to see an affordable 1.20.3 scale K-27 very much for my garden layout. Here is a on30 K-27 that may be of interest to you... (go to this site to see it)

This is a very good C-16 in on30 scale that's already realeased. The sounds are great. I have the Bumble Bee version. I simply perfered not to wait for Bachmann's.

Keep rooting for the 1.20.3 K-27![:D]

K-27 464

Sorry but I was referring to the same import On30 K-27 you posted the photo of, I mis-labeled it as a K-36, sorry again, I 'm getting my K's mixed up as I get older.

But like i said in my above post someone, probably Bachmann, will make the entire K series affordable in On30 long before we get even a single affordable K in large scale.
