Yes Tim, we pay a television licence fee that goes to the BBC to run their business. They employ an army of people to 'detect' licence dodgers and drag them before the courts if they don't pay. Of course the BBC use our money to fund ALL of their activities, World Service, digital etc which very few of us actually receive. I forgot to mention the 'Council Tax' where the local governing body charge each household to cover that areas activities, from schools to road cleaning to public transport upgrades etc. The only council service we use is refuse collection, we pay the council just under a £1000 per year! <br />Cheers, <br />Kim <br />[tup]
