I just battery powered a Bachman Climax (my first electric-I'm a confirmed live steamer) with 10 cells. The thing runs 1 1/2 hours on a charge pulling 6 cars. These batteries are extremely durable, and the smart charger they offer for $49.95 will charge this home made pack of 10 cells faster than the locomotive can discharge them. This charger may not come with instructions. If this is the case, BE SURE to attach the magnetic temperature probe to your battery pack.
