Thanks Vic and Jim
Well Jim I am still playn with the big boys over in Alvin, Tx. near the old depot and it is how I got the nick name Bluebonnet. I think I slept there most part of the war because BNSF was trucking them Military vehicles down to Galveston, Tx to the port.
Now I am back on landscaping because weather is much better and this year I want more homes to do. See it is simple to me, service the people well and use no harmful products anyways.......shout my mouth on that
Jim asked " How did I become intersted in GR?" Well, in do to the shakes I have with my hands small railways I could not see me rebuilding a loco or caboose, just anything that did not look right that came from factorie. Add ons as I call them.
And shoot, you can run them when you want.
Myself I would like to computerize (is that a word?) my track. See no track yet but still layn track @ a hobby store. I see all kinds of stuff there.
I have 10 acres major parts wooded. Now near house, oh boy!!
I think in steps like others ie:
Phase I: Near the house
Phase II: Near the pond
Phase III: In the woods where a walk way can be added to see nature (nature trail) this would be handy for the computer to come in at.
Really, my heart is still with the Santa Fe, just drop BN. As a kid I watched them for hours. Never got a train track for Christmas for all those years I asked.

Jim " I'm looking forward to building a railroad with a pick and shovel."
You thought of a ditchwitch? I am not sure how deep or how much room you have just a sugestion. We all only have 1 back, plase don't hurt yours like mine is.
