Are you referring to the spacers?

About 1/2" or 5/8" long, 1/4" diameter, hole in the centre for axles?

Locally for you, no idea.

Shipping to the UK will be more than they are worth.
Do you have sources locally for solid plastic rod?Carefully drill out the centre for a press fit of the axles, cut to length (1.575" back to back).

Barry's Big Trains used to make these on a lathe....not sure if I have any around any longer.

Parts from Bachmann would most likely include the entire truck.

Are you capable of making your own, or do we need to go on a search?

How big are the spacers?

Computer mother boards have small plastic and metal  spacers.

If I recall correctly the part you are looking for is a plastic spacer that keeps the two half axles (and wheels) from touching and creating an electrical short.

On the 4-6-0s I've seen the part does not bear any weight. If this is the case, have you considered using vinyl tubing with an internal diameter the same size as the half axle shaft?

If it would work you would have an inexpensive replacement part.

G'day from Australia, I have had the same problem and found two solutions. A. "hard" plastic irrigation or compressed air tubing of the appropriate size worked well. B. a length of nylon "bearing" rod machined on a lathe to the required size was the prefered method. No further problems with both methods for me. Regards Phil. joyphil@midcoast.com.au
