would like some info on the performance and quility of the Rogers 2-4-2 engine, am building a narrow gauge layout of manyly logging and mining and this engine

Hi Bud,   It helps people if they can see where you are on the post.You may find there is some one close by that can help with info or point you to a supplier/ repair centre  You can put a rough guide to your home base in your bioSmile

They are good engines, I had one that I sold to another forum member here, but I found it to be a reliable smooth performer, its definety a better engine than Aristo's other 040 offering.

Nope, the 0-4-0 switcher is closer to 1/29, the Rogers was one of the very earliest offering from REA as Aristo was known back then, and even though it was originally scale labeled at 1/22.5 its actually alot closer scale wise to 1/20.3 if you go off the cab proportions, it makes a nifty narrow gauge engine
