I volunteered to do an open house for our club last year, and it was really great! Not only does it allow you to "show off" your garder layout, you learn a lot from visitors. You have features that they appreciate seeing. You have problems that they have previously solved. So everyone wins! Do it! You'll enjoy the experience.
