Pinetop rock work
Posted by Rex in Pinetop on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 11:59 PM

These last two weeks my better half was on a business trip (Penang) so I had some uninterrupted time to do some heavy rock work.  I started with 10 tons of contaminated (dirty) basalt 4-8 inch which actually had a fair amount of 2 and 3 inch stuff as well.  I back filled with mortar to "glue" it all together so the grout wouldn't show.  Anyway here are some pictures:

The rock pile

The bridge and helix

I even rocked some of the steps.  I do plan to put a tunnel portal face on both sides of these steps.

Rex, Both the bridge and the stone work look really good. Your project is coming along nicely. Keep us posted. Jack

What a beautiful neighborhood!  Great rock work as well.  Love the helix and tressels.
