More than one company having the right to use a name or symbol is not new.  When the Victor company was bought by RCA, the dog in front of the Victrola with the slogan "His Master's Voce was used by both RCA and JVC. The records on this side were labeled "RCA Victor", and I suspect Victor was also included on the Japanese labels; it certainly was included in the corporate name..I'm sure that other examples can be cited.Art
