John, Chuck, Cheif, im very dissapointed in all of you. Sending emails to zeke calling him a poser and liar. And now hes banned. Bob, I saw no reason for you to post that. You caused the demise of one of our good friends. Keith was right, this is a wonderful forum, but some of yall just turn away from somebody over a rc truck. Thats ridiculous. Chief, I could have expeted more from a fellow Southerner. I guess not. We Georgians dont distrust somebody that quickily.

Hey all.

I been reading this thread and man I have to say its not giving me a very good feeling.( Just the parts about me) Whats up guys? I understand you read the stuff from that other place, but i said the deal on that and as soon as i get a confirmation from this kid i will handle it. This was not me. I am feeling that some of you are not trusting me her and This really bothers me. I know it looks odd but its getting handled. If anyone doesnt trust me and honestly thinks i would try to pull the wool over anyones eyes i will leave. I dont like being made to look like this us. Sorry but if you all knew the whole story , you wouldnt be saying or thinking the things you are

Just cought up to this thread.  I added Zeke to my outlook book a while back and we have traded jokes and talked about stuff.  He offered to mail me some switches for just the cost of mailing them.  The address I have for him is zekester06@charter.net, which is the one in question?  I agree with Chief.  I can't look into a man's heart and I have no way to know if anybody online is spoofing me or not.  So, I'll keep praying for Zeke and hope for the best.

"Unless someone doesn't like what you posted, Then you become the red headed step child!"

Well Pat, make room because there's another red head on the bench. Big Smile [:D]

You think as an outspoken defender of the toy train 027 element of the hobby, I don't get disagreement? I've had folks say so right here, but they also say they respect my well-thoughtout and defended views.

I get letters frequently and have gotten several in the past month from folks who want to tell me they either agree with me or appreciate my outspokenness for the toy element of the hobby BUT are afraid of being made fun of by others (especially on the other forum) for being in agreement with me.

Kinda sad, cause I know the 027 guys are out there in force but some are afraid of being viewed as second class participants in the hobby. Nonsense! Our toy train purchases keep the hobby going and help make the high end products possible.

The train products today are more diverse as are the participants in the hobby. For all the years I've been active on this forum, I think the MAIN POINT any of us would agree with is not so much what kinds of trains you or how you run them BUT do YOU have fun with them? That's all that matters.

And I can second the support for Zeke for when I was in a real spot a few years and everything looked pretty bleak and hopeless, I was flooded with over 3 solid pages of mail in my email account from guys here just wanting to say a kind word of support. And I know folks don't agree with me always either, but they were still there as friends - even if it is only over a computer screen. Actually more... I got phone calls from total strangers and offers of assistance.

And I've gotten emails from folks concerning my belief in the Lord Jesus. And even though we can't discuss it here, I'm always happy to hear from another train guy who is also a believer... and we are here! A lot of us too - does that make us red-headed step children? Maybe so.

And I know from when I've been to train shows and someone comes up and says "oh you're brianel027... glad to have met you" that were all just people who happen to love trains. And anytime you really care about something, you can sometimes get defensive or protective.

There's another one of 'me' in our town - same name - I get his phone calls, mail and deliveries which I steer back to him. Never met him though.

It's hard to add much more to what has already been said.  This forum is a truly great place with fantastic people!  It's all of you guys that are responsible for the great atmosphere we have!  I've lurked around other forums, both on trains and other interests of mine, but have never ended up joining them.  Compared to most other forums out there, CTT is a breath of fresh air!

The Chief and I discussed this subject a week or more back. He's old and senile, but hopefully he remembers what I told him.

This forum is a great place, and like others, I too feel a strong kinship with other members. The vast majority of us are very nice, decent folks who are only to happy to help, offer advice, share knowledge, and much more. I've learned a lot since finding this forum, and not all of it being about toy trains. I'm a better person for being here.

I looked at what the guy on this posted, and he posted parts of an email, and the wording did not seem at all like zeke.

Hear! Hear! I enjoy this particular forum more than most because of its flexibility in discussing other aspects of life on certain threads. I also appreciate the chance to get to 'know' members in real life.

Hey guys great post here accept for the stuff that involves me but only in a round about way!

Let me nip this in the bud here.

This invovled my house, my computer, my stuff but wasnt me. Long story short. I had some  Donkey staying with me recently and fixed and used an old dial up computer to email his wife, old army buddy. Well he screwed me and used my name and email. Long story short, Im am fixing this situation. Wasnt mine, didnt know it was happening. But im fixing it. The friend ( or so called friend) ripped me off too and is no were to be found. This guy is in canada and This week i am gonna resolve it. So please dont think this is how i am because it is not. Just a situation i inadvertantly was invloved in and am going to correct at my expense. If anyone needs any more convincing or needs to know the exact details email me but its gonna be handled this coming week. didnt even know this guy plastered this all over the web either till i read this post and most of it is not accurate.

i just dont want anyone thinking I am a bad apple cuz im not, bitter at times maybe but not rotten!

And i want to add this is a wonderfull place, when i logged on tonight i was blown away on the responses i seen about me. you guys really do rock! If you guys were close id give you all a big  Hug b ut your not and so heres the best i can do Big Hug

And grayson my friend. Thanks man for oh nvm....i even missed you too

Agree.  See how all ralley when someone needs something or support.  If it is the same Zeke, then he needs our prayers just as bad.  To "pull a lie" like this, means he needs real help.   Lord's job to judge.

Now as for the young ones, really proud of them.  Colin came as a smarty and grew to a very mature young man.

Great group of people here.

Wow what a story if you take the time to read it. I guess there could be two people with the same name and same interest and backgrounds. The only difference is that one is a criminal and ours is sick in the hospital.
