Lionel Standard Guage model 42

I have a model 42 locomotive that has markings from N&W rather than New York Central. So far, no one can tell for sure if this is a re-paint or something made by Lionel for the N & W. This Locomotive has been in my possesion since 1945 and I just recently got it running. I am trying to determine value--Thanks for any info--Scott
