I purchased this 736 Berk and 2046W tender from a gentleman in PA. I originally lost the auction but when the buyer changed his mind the seller sent me a second chance offer. Well, after a little telephone discussion he offered to include shipping with insurance in my last bid amount. Once I agreed to buy it he shipped it the next day. They arrived two days later.

It is a 1953 version with round flagstaff bases, a die-cast trailing truck and a two screw collector assembly. The engine runs smooth and quiet and smokes great. The tender's whistle is loud and strong.
The photos don't do it justice. They are my first attempt at this and I'm using basic digital camera handed down to me from my daughter.
Thanks to those who responded to my post for help while I was deciding/learning about the different versions. And thanks to jaabat for putting up with my endless questions.
Mike
That is one nice 736! You did fine!
Be expecting a staggering bill for all those answers

Jim,
Worth every penny!
jmsiv,
The fellow I bought it from takes great care of his trains and services them regularly. He did both before he sent it to me. I'll be sure to keep up on it as I do with my others.
