Thanks Bob K.   Even the source I have only makes boxes for quad hoppers or short hopper sizes, Lionel post war 6436 and 6476.  The name of the company is Hampton Hobby Products.

I will see if my local hobby shop still has repo train boxes on monday or tuesday. What you are looking for is a box for an NW-2 switcher correct?   I can take my NW-2 CNJ switcher, should be the same size.

Will see if I can get an email address for the hobby shop.

Just for your info I graduated from Muhlenberg High school in north Reading PA.

I'm looking for a lionel 623 train box to store my engine in. Does any body make reproduction boxes for this purpose? I would buy an original if I could find one but have had no luck so far.
