Well I DO! Thanks for dropping a dime, John.
Thanks John for posting something very interesting about the Reading Railroad, one of my favorite railroads. The only problem is that I am not in a position to take a break from south Florida
Lee.

Sorry, That won't work for me, guess we will not be able to get together this time. Wife and I are going to Railfest at Altoona, PA on the 7th. Ride out will be a rail excursion train by the Harrisburg Chapter of NRHS. It will be pulled by the two PRR E8As owned by Juniata Terminal Co. The bad news is we will be riding in Septa coaches. (The period coaches they sometimes use do not have AC so not much fun in July) We will also be going around the Horseshoe Curve. I think I will go to Reading days on the 5th, wife not interested in two train events in one week.
I won't be able to make either. I really wanted to go out to Railfest, but I'll be down the shore.
Jefeletric,
Have you heard anything about the old Reading shops in the city of Reading PA? Is anybody going to recondition the buildings and shop areas? Last I heard is that Conrail owned the property. The old Reading shops and terminal were located between Hiester's Lanes(bowling alley) & Albright College on the south end and Penn Street on the north end and were between Sixth St. and Eight St. I know one of the old bridges near Heister's Lanes was taken down over 12 years ago and land sold off to developers.
