TMCC & TMCC2 work with TMCC equipped engines and not MTH or DCS, can not do a universal or across the board hookup unless you convert everything to one digital control source be it TMCC or DCS/PS2. For post war or MPC locos you will need to vary the track voltage with an additional unit for the TMCC system.
MTH's DCS system is differant than Lionel's TMCC & TMCC2 systems, while you may be able run DCS units with TMCC you will not get all features from the DCS equipped units, works same way for TMCC equipped locos with DCS.
There are many issues that Lionel and MTH don't agree upon and this happens to be one!

In addition, I found the conventional engines run really well with a TPC if you have Lionel's TMCC. Also the MTH engines will work better too as I can use the coil couplers !!

As someone who is younger and just getting back into model trains after playing with Postwar and MPC as a child I have some questions about the remote train control systems. Can TMCC/TMCC2 or DCS be used with Postwar or MPC Locos? Can TMCC2 be used "across platforms" with Atlas/MTH/Williams Locos? Is it possible to have lash-ups of locomotives across manufacturers such as a lionel (conventional or tmcc), a williams and an MTH? Thanks for any help that can be given to my questions.
