Wanted to post pics!
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, June 17, 2007 9:37 PM

Hey all! Names Pete, wanted to show pics of my layout I'm working on,its small but will grow with progress.Had some pics of a few of my trains also; but I cant figure out how to move the url's from photobucket? Also have a question;I know its old fashtion but what dye would you use to dye sawdust with? I 'm in an area where there's not a lot of hbs,and prices are high for the store brands of grass.Any help with the pics would be appreciated.I have some really fine trains that I'm proud of,no 773's or Berk's but a nice 2046,and a mth 6200 doubleheading a string of Blue Commet cars.I have alot more to show but untill I figure out this url thing I'm stumped.Oh and Frisco railroad is my favorite road, but thats a story for another day.

welcome - I think the old Rit dye is probably still the best bet. I seem to recall somone saying the best way to do this was to put the sawdust in pantyhose and then put it in the dye. Seems like a logical solution to the mess you might get by just pouring sawdust into a bucket of dyed water.

For the pictures, on photobucket there is a box labled IMG Code, you copy and past the content of that box into the forum message.

regarding posting pictures, another way is to find any post with photos attached to it. Click the quote button. This will show you the code used by the author to embed the photos, substituting your own photo properties within the image tags.
