Lionel 364 Log Loader Help

Hi Folks,

My latest project is a 364 log loader that I bought
unassembled (for the most part) and without a belt. I'm having a few
issues I was hoping for help with.

I am having trouble figuring out the placement of the parts in the
motor section, especially a 90 degree ( by ½") spring with a small
lip on one side. I see no place for it. The lack of any diagrams or
schematics in the service manuals doesn't help. Does anyone have (or
can take) photos of the inside of their log loaders? Especially the
area near the motor.

I am also having trouble with the belts I ordered (three, from
different sources). They all seem ½" too short. Anyone else have
this issue? Is my best bet to just stretch the belts?
