I'm looking for the retaining disk that holds the sponges on.

Does anybody have a source for these and/or a part number?

If you are talking about the postwar lionel track cleaning car, try train doctor.com or train repair parts.com.

eZak,

Try Lionel.com ----> Customer Service ----> Pictorial diagrams and Parts Lists. Search for 18461 (You don't need the "6-" prefix) for both an exploded diagram and list of parts.

Because the item is relatively new (as opposed to "Postwar" for example) you may have to get the parts from Lionel or an authorized Service Station.
