Trainz has the super deluxe scale version of Lionel's S2 turbine. This is the last one they made with all the bells and whistles on it. Thumbs Up [tup]

ROFL...just two???? Shock [:O]

I lost count of how many S2 Trubines I have Laugh [(-D]. I do have the elephant ears one in the link along with it's identical twin without the elephant ears (I LOVE that term!!). They are HUGE!!!! Almost 3 feet long. I haven't even unboxed either version. No track set up yet Sad [:(] But they will be the first ones I run once I get the track put up. I also have two of the MTH S2s. The elephant ears is equipped with the "wireless link" connection to the tender. I think this was either the first, or one of the first locos to have that feature. No more wire tether holding them together.

Paul: The link you provided give some great info Thumbs Up [tup]
Note that the pic of the MTH S2 is an early version without the oiler linkage. The last/latest version they made included the oiler linkage and it was painted black.

Jim: The S2 from MTH WILL run on 042 curves in case you get the itch to have one. They aren't as big as the Lionel scale versions but they are bigger than the postwar S2s. And they are the "Imperial" versions with lots of extra detals. Price isn't all that horrible too. MSRP is $449 but most places are selling them for a lot less. The smoke they produce is unbelieveable.
