Anybody have any information on the Lionel Subway set due to be released later this year? It looks to me like it is comparable in design/quality to the MTH premier subway sets.
Thanks

I was just checking these out as well. I believe that they are coming out in either June or July and I plan on being in line for a set.
These are going to be far superior in quality, performance and detail than the MTH stuff. These are even suppose to have radio controlled opening doors! The color and level of detail just looks great.
I am not a subway guy but these are just to cool.
Which fora(I believe that's right, nom. pl.) can I visit to check out some more of the discussion? The opening and closing doors seems very interesting. I wonder if this is a first. My concern would be a tendency toward breakdown. Thanks.
I did hear a story on NPR several months ago where the Lionel staff were in NYC subway stations recording sounds. That's some attention to detail.
I noticed the original 0-72 requirements and said, well, that is that. Nice to see a more reasonable requirement in that respect.
