Ahh, trolleys. Nice shots, Frank. Good way to start the week.

Love that camera angle showing off your curves, Jim.

I wasn't aware you could see me in those photos, Doug, but thanks! I've been working out lately...Blush [:I]

One of my favorite trains to run is the one in the top photo. A pair of Williams 2023s pulling a set of Lionel Lines 2400 series passenger cars. It's funny, when I started in the hobby, I loathed passenger trains and deisels for that matter as being to boring. Now I run them almost exclusively and greatly enjoy them. Once in a while, my son requests a freight train, so I am only too happy to oblige him. He loves coal drags!

Kurt, Yes they are commercial. You can view them at www.valleymodeltrains.com  in the O Scale portion under the heading Crow River. Look for Highway Crossing. The manufacture frequented my once local hobby shop. I was able to buy just the guardrails seperately rather than the entire crossing.

Yes. I have both the green and black version. Two of my favorite engines. Very smooth runners. Neither one seem to exibit the jerkyness of the more recent K-Line cruise engines I own. Both are weathered. These engines are loaded with detail such as added piping. I think the weathering really makes it jump out at you and notice it more. I found a picture of the black version.

Frank53,

Excellent pictures as usual, great scenery and structures.  Now if you would only replace that tubular track with some Gargraves or Atlas........ Big Smile [:D]

These are some older photos. Both areas have a lot of new details not shown. Hopefully will have a new camera in a few weeks. The passenger station now features weathered rails in what has been an on going project.

Spent part of the day Saturday playing with 1:1 trains by being a "volunteer crewman" on the Walkersville Southern Railroad, just outside of Frederick, MD.

My "ride" for the day was this Wabash caboose built in 1949. I was in such a rush to get to the railroad that I forgot my camera so these photos are from another occasion. That gorgeous PRR N5b of my friend John Meise was not along for Saturday's run even though he was the conductor.

We have to run in reverse on the 2nd half of our trip and the caboose is equipped for this purpose with headlight and horn. The conductor or a senior brakeman rides the platform and provides "eyes" for the engineer.
