Posting review comments

I just wanted to mention a few things about the posting of comments in our review section:

First, they can't be edited or corrected. All I can do is approve or disapprove. You misspell Challenger or Centipede and it is there FOREVER.

Second, keep the comments related to the product reviewed. Don't try to use a review of an Atlas O switch as a platform for recruiting members to a Yahoo group on K-Line SuperStreets.

Third, the purpose is to get reader feedback on products. If you own something and think it stinks (or something is great), don't just say it stinks (or is great), be specific about why you feel that way. Six or eight comments like "This is great" or "This stinks" are not especially helpful to a reader. If you have issues (good or bad) with a model's traction tires, smoke unit, electronics, height on trucks, etc., spell-em out. Don't just paint with a broad brush.

Fourth, the intention is to get reader feedback on the products – not create an alternate forum. This isn't the place to ask which type of subway car served Brooklyn in 1945, or why railroads switched to diesel power.

And I approve most (like 99%) of the comments posted.
