Super Streets
Posted by dochooter on Friday, May 4, 2007 11:56 AM

Any sign of the Super Streets by K-Line/Lionel that were supposed to be released this spring?  I assume it is common for them to not meet release dates.

Thanks

Super Streets have been around for a bit (we reviewed it in the Dec 05 issue), so if there is a delay, it isn't because it is new.

No Super Streets with this week's delivery from Lionel.  Mostly diecast hoppers, did get  K-Line Plymouth Switcher and a Porter.

Super Streets may be out as early as June 5th.  I have talked with the owner of the hobby shop in Jupiter FL and that is the expected date for my order of Super Streets, this is according to Bill at My Rose Hobbies in Jupiter FL on 5-7-07.

Seems like Lionel puts out the catalog way ahead of actual production or they test the water so to speak to see how many orders for an item then they produce it.

I want to get the Super Streets to finish my upper level residential area.

I am in a holding pattern as well with my residential section until they release as well.  Not a big deal as the weather is nice, I won't get much done until winter anyway.

Hoping that Lionel keeps to their word about Super Streets as I need a summer project.  The weather down here is too hot and steamy to work outside for more than 25 minutes at a time in the summer, even in the morning.

Super Streets as Bob K. mentioned has been around for two years or more but as to finding it at a local hobby shop that is another problem all by itself!  Have only found straight track in Super Streets, five and ten inch sizes here in south Florida, have been to 12 differant hobby shops.

Super Streets may have come out in Dec. 05 but Lionel sued K-Line around that time too so K-Line's supply system may have been interupted in the process as K-Line tried to stay afloat as a company.  I had an order for a complete Super Street set but never heard anything more after hearing about the Lionel & K-Line lawsuit, so I assume my order never got processed as my credit card never got billed for the set.
