I sent a couple of emails to a dealer and to Atlas.  Like all businesses, they get many, many e-mails so I decided to call Atlas directly.  They were polite and so very helpful that I felt compelled to post this.  95% of my freight rolling stock is Atlas O and the attention to detail in those products is a reflection of their great staff.  When you deal with good folks, it lifts your day. Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]

Atlas reefer parts.
Posted by mickey4479 on Monday, April 30, 2007 8:51 PM
I have an on going scratch/kitbash project and I consulted several cites for parts. I looked at the on line Atlas catalog and they have some reefer parts that I would consider. However, the listings do not tell how many parts are in each package or unit purchased except for the brake wheel. I have an e-mail into AM Hobbies and suspect Bob is quite busy or he has to contact Atlas as I have. here is a list of the items and part numbers if anyone has info to share. Many thanks.

1. How many grab irons in a package for item # 8000015?
2. How many ice hatches and what associated hardware (if any)comes in item # 8000012?
3. Does the roof walk (item # 8000010) come with support brakets?
4. What is in the door set item # 8000008 and if it comes with hinges, how many?
5. What is in the door hardware set item # 800009 and if it comes with hinges, how many?
6. How do the Cudahay ice hatches (item # 8000013) differ from the regular ice hatches (item number 8000012)?
