RY Models GE 44-ton Switchers at York
Posted by 4kitties on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 11:12 AM

Hi all, I wanted to take a minute to thank Rich Yoder of RY Models for bringing the GE 44-ton switcher to market in 3-rail.  I read the review of the 2-rail model a few years ago and decided that if it was ever offered it in 3-rail, I would buy one.  I ordered mine at the spring 2006 York meet, and I was so pleased to see that Rich had the finished models with him at York last week.  They're definitely worth the wait.  Mine is done in PRR livery with safety stripes on the ends.  It's a beautiful model and the painting and lettering is outstanding.  I put mine to work on a spur where it shuttles a couple of freight cars back and forth via an automatic reversing circuit.  Thanks for a great job, Rich.
