Has anyone used the Lionel 153IR to throw a switch?

I don't know what the load capacity on the circuitry in the 153IR is.  There is the possibility that you might fry the 153IR.  It could probably be done using a relay but it would have to be a momentary contact type and not a sustained contact since throwing a switch only requires a momentay closing of the circuit.  If left powered too long the switch selonoid can burn up.

Some turnouts will burn up (Lionel O27, Marx) and others (Lionel 022 and K-Line) won't.
