I have a lionel switch that is not working. Is there a way to repair the electric part of the switch or replacement parts. It tries to work with a little help.Is this an eletro magnet type of thing.thanks Bubba

If you are using track voltage you might need more voltage (12-14v) or if you are using fixed voltage and are running at the above voltage take apart the motor cover, and clean the fixed contacts.  Cleaning, and oiling the operating mechanisms won't hurt either.

Is this a newer switch or is it an older 022 style switch?

The old 022's need cleaning up on the contacts inside the switch, also it will help to clean the track at the switch.

If a new switch(less than 6 months old) send it in for warrenty repair.
