Thanks!  The timing was just right for me to set up the recorder just before leaving for work. Sounds interesting.

argh

I have tv running into my computer, but don't get History International on my desk, meaning I can't record it into my computer. We have the digital cable boxes in the rest of the house, so I guess I have no choice but to park myself in teh living room for an hour this morning.

It's a dirty, thankless job, but somebody's gotta do it.

I watched it, and it was obviously pretty dated, but enjoyable. Some of the vintage material and layotus shown were exceptional.

Even though I am a die-hard Lionel guy, I can't help but gnash my teeth a bit over the way these types of documentary programs overly romanticize the "JLC" story. Likewise I hit my limit to the show as they were showing those hard-working industrious US workers at the Michigan facility building Lionel trains.

Now excuse me while I get my tounge surgically removed from my cheek.

Using Tivo to record the program, part of my DirecTV package!!  With DirecTV and Tivo I can record programs up to 12 days or more away!Laugh [(-D]My 2 cents [2c]

Another program to watch is one about steam locomotives on the same channel only a few hours later.

Will mention later if I liked the program.

Hey Jaabat,

Maybe you should give DirecTV a try as I don't have to wait to down load anything, all I do is call up the program guide and flip thru channels and time to record something, and most times I can record up to 12 days or more ahead of time, no need for a T.V. guide paper.   Maybe I should mention that I have the premeir channel package with three or more HBO's and four Showtime channels.Laugh [(-D]

Please leave your rats at home Jim or my five cats will have a light snack of rat meet.Dinner [dinner]

The History Channel is on most "basic" cable systems, but in many areas History International may only be available on an expanded version like Direct TV / Digital etc.

BTW is there a way to send my VCR an e-mail to make the "12:00" stop flashing?? Confused [%-)]Whistling [:-^]

It's listed as 269 on Direct TV, but I cannot find a thing about it anywhere. Is International History Channel something different? Thanks, Jake
