Solid Oak + Durable Finish = Workbench

I have the better part of a two car garage filled with layout materials (or possible layout materials), while a $60K car sits outside. I think the wife would like the garage back, but I have a layout to build. I figure this gives her a little impetus to give me some time to work on the layout.
As to the wood flooring, I like the idea of a retaining wall. While the wood may look great, if it can't be used for its cosmetic features, then perhaps you can use it for risers for a grade. Beyond tossing it, please post whatever you end up doing with it.

That's probably the best idea - these are made from 1/4" sqaure and they are 9" long.
If it is solid wood, ripped into strips would make great beams for a bridge. I too am a confessed pack rat, so I know where you are coming from

Being somewhat of a pack-rat, I am taking up about 60 sq ft of Oak Parkay Flooring. I got to thinking these small boards COULD be of benefit for my layout. Boards are about 1/2" x 6" x 3/8".
Wife says get rid of the junk! So far the only ideas I can come up with are:
Possible building (especially for G Scale),
Don't think I will have any wooden roads or sidewalks..
Any other ideas? This stuff just looks to good to trash.
Help!
