Wow!  Thanks for all the great suggestions.  I have already begun placing orders with Valley Model Trains, Grandt, and Plastruct. I can't wait to start putting on finishing touches.  I'll post photos when I do.  Much appreciated.

Micro mark offers some nice brick and concrete block facings in O Scale.  They also have a great assortment of tools and the such.

I just ordered some of the brick paper and was very pleased with the product and the service.

Here are a few sources:

Model Tech Studios has a nice assortment in O-Guage, particularly scene building details.

Have plenty of time available when you visit the Valley Model Trains site - you can get lost in there with all the great scratchbuilding stuff they offer.

"Grandt Line" has a few odds and ends besides windows and doors, you might

try looking there for things. There's also Plastruct, they have  some things like that.

detailing scratch-built structures
Posted by basement artie on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 9:37 AM

I have been looking for detailing items to finish some scratch built structures such as brick facing, welded metal-appearing styrene sheets, railings and gates, and concrete facing.  There seems to be no end to the number of items in N and HO scale, but reltively little in O.  I've come across a few places such as Model Builder's Supply Line and Scale-Link, but few others. Does anyone have any ideas where to look?

Thanks,

Tom
