Hey Y'all,
In CTT's special "All Star Issue" 2 I saw a photo on the first page of the Mini Toys story on page 24.
In the photo, Frank Ajello was placing a Lionel Scale Hudson on a track in the museum part of his Hobby Land store. Behind the Hudson and in front if the Lionel Hiawatha is a Distinctly European Steamer with Smoke deflectors. I was intriquid by this piece, but forgot about it until today.
I was paging through the November 1996 CTT, which I bought along with a whole horde of old CTT's at a yard sale, I saw a very similar engine in the Lloyd Rallston Gallery ad. It was a 4-6-2 on on the head of 4 passenger cars.
I assumed it was a Marklin product, but I'd like to know more about this engine. If any one can give me some info on this I would appriciate it.
My main reason behind all this is that I thought it would be a nice piece for my collection. I figured it would look good in front of a train of Ace Trains coaches painted Blue for the Orient Express (About 3 would do. 2 Blue and 1 Blue and White). If any one can find out more info and help locate one, I would be most appriciatove.
If anyone can give me some info on Marklin O gauge at all, such as links to websites or titles of books, that would also be appriciated.
Cheese
Nick! :)
Never Mind Ya'll. I found the info I was looking for. It wasn't that hard. Now I need to find one that I can buy. I can just see that Orient Express running on my processing layout now.
