Sheesh,  I feel that was an excellent post here in the "Toy Train Operating and Collecting" forum.  At $300, he's not really trying to make a profit; he's offering information on how one might obtain a highly pertinent item.  Not much different from someone posting a thread about the CTT toy truck and boxcar offer in my mind.  I for one am always looking for tips on where to go for a good deal other than eBay.

It was as blatant an advertisement as I can imagine.

Bob is right, I am not here to judge, but they are the rules.  In fact, such posts are usually removed once the moderators get around to seeing them.   There are places to post such offerings, but this is not it.

Is there a "For Sale" forum on here?

I run on Gargraves track. My smallest diameter curve is 36".

Has anybody actualy noticed just how many adds there really are on this forum! Just look around. I guess the so called 'Rules' should read; No free advertisement by individuals!

This Forum does not have a Buy/Sell board BUT OGR does!

You can view this information at the OGR Buy/Sell board.

I wish we did have a buy and sell forum, it would be nice to be able to get second hand train stuff from collectors instead of fighting it out on ebay, or paying retail.  It would also serve multiple purposes, 1) allow sellers to get rid of stuff they don't want or need, 2) allow collectors to barter and trade with people with whom they have already established relationships with.  Caution would be a necessity, obviously, and but I have been on other boards where board reputation is held in high regard thus new buyers/sellers were given the benifit of the doubt, but only so far until they could establish themselves.

Pie in the sky, by and by; I know but it would still be nice.
