Traindaddy:

Are you looking to locate some place other than the Bronx?  We visited The Villages about 6 months ago and were quite impressed.  When would you be ready for your move?

What scale do you model?

I just spoke to a contact in the Villages. His name is Frank (352-430-3754). He said they model all scales, do modular, and there are 80 some members in their club.  He expects to surpass 100 in the next year or so.  He said he is working with the developer to get a permanant location for setting up.  Woodworkers, and 100 other clubs have been provided space.  He is seeking equal treatment for railroaders which could bring great publicity via the O-guage demographic, which is what The Villages seek.

OFF TOPIC: Have seen "The Villages" CD. Looks good! Got a friend in Lady Lake but he's not into trains. (Also, would be nice to know, for future reference, if there are train people in The Villages) I'll keep reading. Thanks.

Is anyone on this forum in the Villages, FL, or in the vicinity (Ocala/Leesburg) active with an "O"-guage or "G"-guage layout?
