compatability of MTH subway trestles with tubular track

I recently purchased some MTH subway girder bridges, 40-1048, to give a little variety to my elevated  tubular track layout which measures about 15 feet in diameter.  The description in the MTH catalog stated that the girder bridges were compatible with tubular track.  What was not mentioned was the fact that the girder bridges were not compatible with existing elevated trestles made by Lionel(my fault, I should have checked the height differences).  I don't mind replacing the existing Lionel trestles with MTH subway trestles to bring the rest of the layout up to height as long as they are compatible with tubular track.  What I don't want to do is replace all of the track with MTH track(about 40 straight sections) with MTH track if they are not.  Does anyone know if MTH subway trestles are compatible with tubular track before I make the investment?  Thanks.

Tom, I've been experimenting with all sorts of trestle and track combinations lately. I would venture to say they are not out-of-the-box compatible.

You could install wood blocks under your Lionel "A" trestles to raise them to the level of the MTH bridges. A little flat gray paint will make them look like concrete footings.

Lionel "A" trestles are 4 5/8" high. They were made in the Postwar Era before all this "scale" sized stuff came out. Every Postwar train will pass under them with the exception of the Virginia Rectifier.
