Being originally from Florida and since the Florida East Coast Railroad is over 100 years old, have there ever been any O scale train sets, locomotives, or cars produced?

From time to time Lionel has produced some FEC rolling stock such as hoppers.  Have seen some FEC diesels in O gauge but forgot who made them.  Maybe Lionel or MTH or even Williams Trains.

Lionel and MTH have been the most prolific producers of FEC items. Lionel made a GP7 triple lashup, and has made several cars over the years. Don't think they've made anything lately-- MTH has produced GP40's, BL2's plus F3's(never owned by FEC) and approximatly 20-30 pieces of rolling stock, including 3 passenger sets. Still waiting for a reissue of the E6 so i can run my passenger set. Williams made the BL2, and a berkshire(in red/yellow/silver!)

I believe that MTH has done two runs of GP40s or 38s, one with the modern logo and another with the Speedway to Sunshine anniversary logo.

Lionel made an FEC Champion passenger set back in 04-05.  Two E6's and 4 of the 18 inch passenger cars.  They later cataloged a station sounds diner and another 2 pack add-on set.

Back in the dark ages, I lived in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. I attended Howell Watkins Jr. High, which was adjacent to the FEC mainline. I used to enjoy watching GP-7s in the blue scheme with the hurricane logo pulling long freights ( a nice distraction from classwork). The FEC was one of the first railroads to dispense with cabooses (a shame, really) back in the late 1960s.

I don't know if they were finally produced or not,but MTH has an MTH FEC 0-8-0 in their product finder and a few years back K-Line had a FEC 4-6-2 Pacific (with a white boiler!) and Pullman green passenger cars in their catalog.

In the MTH product search at www.mth-railking.com  one will find that they have made a great deal of Florida East Coast freight and passenger items from the 1950's to the 2000's.

If Mike's Train House is still producing FEC Locos and cars at the same rate you should be able to get the latest FEC SD70's and FEC Husky-Stacks Intermodal Cars in less than 2 years.
